ABOUT EVENT
The Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises form the backbone of India’s growth engine, particularly for Uttar Pradesh where MSMEs contribute more than 14% to its GSDP. Nationally, MSMEs contribute around 6.11% of the manufacturing GDP and 24.63% of the GDP from service activities as well as 33.4% of India's manufacturing output. They have been able to provide employment to around 120 million persons and contribute around 45% of the overall exports from India.
Undoubtedly, the MSME sector has been hard hit with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic & many of them are barely able to sustain themselves. To survive & thrive during and post the pandemic, they need to be empowered with easy finance, use of technology, new avenues & markets. The Conference also aims to highlight how the MSME entrepreneurs can be a part of the revolutionary ODOP project of the State government & give it further impetus in line with the vision of making local products global.
