Indian Healthcare is one of the largest sectors in India both in terms of revenue and employment. Thus, India is one of the most thriving healthcare tourism sectors in the world known not only for providing curative treatment of diseases but also preventive and promotive therapies offered by alternative medicine such as Ayurveda.
Medical and Wellness Tourism have emerged as one of the rapidly growing service sectors in India. Ayurveda is practised today all over the world and forms a very important part of wellness and wellness related to travel to India. Ayurveda in medical travel is limited to massage and wellness treatments while the treatment for illness is often overlooked. It is imperative that we bring to the fore the preventive, promotive and curative aspects of Ayurveda.
Towards this initiative, CII is organising Global Ayurveda Medical Travel Summit scheduled to be held on 18 – 19 February 2021 on the digital platform. Deliberations will focus on exploring the potential of Ayurveda in promotive, preventive and curative treatments both in India and Abroad. The platform will develop cohesive industry engagement with core cross-sectoral policy, dialogues and strategic exchanges enabled through high profile plenary sessions and disruptor talks. At this platform, we will have industry experts of Ayurveda from both India and abroad deliberating on the major demands, hindrances and future trends of this sector. The key components of the Summit would include Knowledge sessions, B2B Meetings and Exhibition.
