INDIA SERVICES CONCLAVE 2021

India: Future of Digital Services to the World

Healthcare I Education I Media & Entertainment I Retail I Travel

Virtual platform 23-24 March 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic, the subsequent lockdown and social distancing measures have had a significant impact on the contact-intensive services sector. During the first half of the financial year 2020-21, the services sector contracted by almost 16 per cent. As the economy gradually entered the unlock phase, most of these indicators showed signs of recovery. The services sector’s significance in the Indian economy has been steady, even as COVID-19 disrupts economies across the world. The sector currently accounts for over 54 percent of the GVA and contributes to four-fifths of the total FDI inflows.

There is enormous potential for the services sectors to sustain this growth as India moves towards being a digital economy. We are moving to a world where the development of policy and its associated implications are driven by digital at the centre. Our goal is to explore and create comprehensive ways through which we can support the Indian services economy that will move towards being digital first.

Against this background, CII with the support of Ministry of Commerce is organizing India Services Conclave with the theme "India: Future of Digital Services to the World" over a virtual platform scheduled from 23-24 March 2021The Conclave aims to provide a platform for stakeholders from Healthcare; Education; Media & Entertainment; Travel & Tourism, Retail, E Commerce and Fintech across the world to converge and embed their ideas to help usher in a new era of economic growth for the post COVID-19 world. This platform will seek to curate and create an environment conducive to help build a better future and achieve the targets the nation has set for itself.
